What if you could ride around with your pastor in his pickup?
One of the challenging things about pastoring a large church is not being able to sit down and have meaningful conversations with every single person I shepherd. I know so many people are struggling or simply have questions about how to live out God’s Word faithfully in their daily lives. And I think a lot of Christians would love to be able to hop in a truck with their pastor for the day, ride down the road, and ask him how the Bible speaks into what’s happening in the world today and in their own lives.
That’s why I’ve started a new podcast called “From the Pulpit to the Pickup.” My passion is to help you connect the deep truths of God's Word to everyday life. No topic is off limits, and I believe that nothing is better than clear, honest, understandable truth.
Several episodes have already been released, but it’s not too late to catch up! Here are the conversations I’ve had so far:
- Episode 1: How Do We Encourage Young Women Today in Issues of Identity? Ft. Guest: Samantha Arp
- Episode 2: Why Should Christians Care About Exercise? Ft. Guest: David Mathis
- Episode 3: How Do We Press Past Our Fears of Sharing the Gospel? Ft. Guest: Pastor Brad Cooper
- Episode 4: Becoming Everyday Ambassadors - Boats, Blinds, & Ballfields Ft. Guest: Professional Bass Fisherman Hank Parker
- Episode 5: Removing the Stigma of Going to Biblical Counseling Ft. Guests: Becca Fisher and Tonya Jones
New episodes will be dropping weekly, so I hope you will listen in, subscribe, and even share these episodes. Because the truth that comes from the pulpit still applies when we’re driving around in our pickups, and we need more than just a Sunday morning faith. We need to know how to live for Him every single day.
Pressing on with you,
D.J.
